Toronto was wonderful. Even though it was cold and we did see some snow we had a great time. Loved being cold for a few days but not sure I would be able to endure a full winter season. There are some wonderful old homes to visit in the city itself and we did a side trip to Niagara Falls.
Nearly spring??? There are so many robins in my yard the last few weeks. Can't believe we are at the end of January already.
Hope all of you are doing well and getting ready for spring.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be out of the office from Dec. 26th thru Jan. 2nd, 2012. I will be off to Toronto for the week and hope to see some snow and winter weather. No I have not lost my mind I just think it would be fun to see the snow but only for a very short time.
That will leave no one in my office that week but the answering machine.
Please leave a message as Dr. Smith will be checking it periodically.
If you need to speak with me before I take off please call and let me know your needs for coverage or work.
Thanks

Should have let you know earlier but by now most of you have figured out that I am back in my Florida office. The return trip was very smooth. Found out a lot about my cats likes and dislikes and if you keep them happy they don't fuss and fume in their cages. They actually were marvelous in the car and even seemed to enjoy the hotel experience. Only bad part was we were on the second floor--thank the heavens for a cart and an elevator haha!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Can't believe we are looking at another holiday and very soon the end of another year.
Stay well and give me a call when you have the time.

Well fall season is upon us. I can't believe it is time for me and the 3 cats to pack up and return to Florida. We have all had a good summer. The critters adjusted well and are happy wonder what they will think of the ride back down the road?
I have mixed feelings about leaving Pa. I have enjoyed the summer spending time with family and friends. I got a lot of projects done at the house and have some already planned for next year.
Hope you all are enjoying the wonderful fall weather. Talk to you from Florida in a couple of weeks.

We made it to Pa. and everyone did well even my son. HaHa
The trip took 2 full days on the road but that is what I expected. Cats were not happy early on but I have learned a few tricks to help with our next adventure. At first my mouthy gal was mouthy no way way she staying in the cage!!!!! After about 2 hours we stopped and made some changes in their placement in the car and sprayed their environment with pheromone spray. This seemed to calm them down for awhile.
Hotel was a new experience for them. Timmy (the only boy) thought it was wonderful so many places to explore while the girls went under the beds Scarry for them.
Next morning we packed them up, sprayed the pheromone spray all over the place and we were off. Second day was much calmer and everyone did well until about the last 2 hours. We let mouthy and she was happy to sit between us on the cooler. The other two slept peacefully in their cages.
It has taken a week or so for them to feel comfortable in Pa. but they are finally settling down.
The pheromone spray was an experiment and let me tell you it really works. I read a lot about it before the trip and will certainly use it on our next excersion.
Hope you are having a wonderful summer.

It's official----I will be on vacation next week and at the end of that week I will have a lot of stories to tell you. I am driving to Pa. with 3 cats. The 3 cats have never traveled and one is very vocal. To add to that my son didn't wan't me to drive that far by myself (very sweet of him) so he has taken a week off and will go with me and the cats. Only problem with that plan is he doesn't do well in a car for more than 2 hours at a time. Should be interesting but fun!!!!
More to come

Hi everyone. Happy June!!! Hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend. Now we are looking forward to 4th of July.
As you know both Dr. Smith and I are pet lovers. I will be taking a driving tirp to Pa. at the end of the month and taking three of my little guys with me. Cats are not usually good travelers--Do you have any suggestions for making this trip more pleasant for them and for me as well? We have been taking trial drives around the neighborhood trying to get them used to the car. I would love to hear from you if you have any suggestions or have a story to tell me about your trips with your pets.
Have a great June warm sunny and stay healthy!!!!

Is spring in the air? The weather reporters are talking about another cold spell this weekend. Only good thing about that is we don't have to do yard work
I see some plants starting to green up and the grass has started to grow. Now is the time to get the outside work done before the heat of the summer.
Time to think about my next trip. Any suggestions??????
Best get back to work my phone is ringing.
Take care

Want to wish all our clients and associates, their staff and families a very Happy and Healthy New Year.
I promised to tell you how my trip to Montreal went. It was FABULOUS!!!!! Surprising to me that I didn't mind the cold but it wasn't very cold up there after all. We missed the big snow storm that went up the coast and our travel went smoothly. For you who have never been to Montreal I say put it on your list of places to see. It is as picturesque in person as it looks online. In Old Montreal you think you are in an old European town along a beautiful river. The Notre-Dame Bascilica in Old Montreal is breath taking. One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. We ventured to Quebec City one day and to the Montmorency Falls. The falls was beautiful and some very large ice was formed around the falls. This falls is higher than Niagara but not as wide. Quebec City is a must. We only had the afternoon there but I want to go back when I can spend more time in the city.
Well must start planning my next trip. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Au revoir

I have one more week of vacation time coming for this year and am planning a trip to Montreal. A very dear friend of mine has been telling me the wonders of Montreal and telling me I should go. Sooooo My son and I leave the day after Christmas and will be gone for 5 days.
Now you will want to check back and give the office a call after January 1st to make sure that I make it back to sunny Florida and do not become a frozen part of the Montreal scenery. Ha Ha We have been in Florida for 20 plus years so the cold will be really cold for us. We have bought winter coats, boots, mittens, and the list goes on and on.
Sure sounds like a bundle of fun and we are looking forward to our trip.
If any of you have suggestions of what to see and do and good restaurants in Montreal and Quebec City please let me know. Call the office 877-896-7765 or send me an email.
Happy Holidays and may 2011 by Happy and Healthy for you all.

Once again it is the holiday season. We are all busy with projects like shopping, shopping and more shopping. We do hope that you take the time out of your busy schedule to stop and remember friends and family both near and far. Give them a call or send an email to keep in touch.
This happend to me a few months ago. I got a card from a gal I had not heard from in years. It was such a thrill to hear from her and to catch up on what is happening with her.
It takes just a little time to send off an email.
Happy Holidays to all.

Just want to report on my trip to Williamsburg. The girls and I had a fabulous time and we helped to contribute to the economy of Williamsburg. As girls do we shopped and ate and shopped. Colonial Williamsburg is a very interesting and it is hard to believe that the settlers survived such hardships. Did you know that they didn't have dishwashers;) HaHa
I enjoyed Yorktown. It is a beautiful city on the river with a lot of history and beautiful homes. The weather was absolutely gorgeous when we were there.
I accomplished something that I have wanted to do for a very long time. I have always wanted to drive the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and since we were relatively close the girls said "Go for It" Relatively close was a little over 2 hours one way. Once I drove the tunnel we were only and hour and a half from Chincoteague so we drove on up there. We were fortunate to get a glimpse of the wild horses. It was awesome and so worth the drive. Driving the tunnel was an thrill, the weather was perfect and just the thought of that tunnel and under water was exhilerating.
Well it is back to work for me and planning my next trip. I have one more weeks vacation time but not sure where I will be off to. Any suggestions????? Give me a call or send an email.

Finally have gotten to my vacation time. If you call the office next week you will surely go to voice mail. I will be out of the office for the week and Dr. Smith will be working for clients and trying to do call backs in a timely manner. So if you call the office and don't hear from us immediately you will get a call back as soon as possible.
I will be joining three girlfriends from Pennsylvania and we will be spending the week in Williamsburg, Va. Should be fun and think of the trouble we can get into. Ha Ha
I let you know what trouble we get into.

It is that time of the year when I begin to think fall and vacation. Looking for some place a little cooler than Florida.
Three girlfriends and I are planning a trip to Williamsburg, Va. Should be fun since I have known these gals for a very long time. We plan on the usual touristy things but I am wondering if anyone can give us some hints on what is fun and interesting to do while there other than the usual tourist spots.
How about good restaurants? Coffee shops, walking tours, ghost tours, etc
We already know the pottery will ship our purchases that could be damaging to the budget
but so much fun as well
We will be going the last week in October and that will propably be a little late for the fall leaves. Since it has been steamy and hot here for months it would be nice just to experience some cool sweater weather.
Call me or send email if you have any suggestions. Looking forward to our trip.

Dr. Smith and I want to thank the AOA for inviting us to participate in the Career Fair this past Friday in Orlando. The turn out was fantastic and we got to talk with a lot of very interesting people.
As you know all my work in done by phone and on the computer. It was fun to meet some of the OD's that I work with and to put a face to the voice. Thanks to all that stopped to say "Hi". Hope to be able to meet more of you in the future.
We also had a good many new grads looking for the perfect opportunity and they were interested to learn about PRN Eye Associates. We are looking forward to working with the new grads and to helping them build their careers.
We are always looking for new clients and associates so pass the word to your colleagues. We are here to assist you in finding a fill in doctor or providing a few fill in days to help with the budget.
Happy Summer and don't forget to include a call to PRN when you make your vacation plans!!!!

Hi Everyone:
I bet a good many of you are looking forward to the AOA meeting in Florida mid June. It will be a fun time for all. and you may get some CE hours as well. I have never been to the Gaylord Palms but understand it is fabulous. Can't wait to see it!!!
This year the AOA is sponsoring a Career Fair on June 18th, Friday from 10AM-2PM. If you are not attending class please stop on by and say "Hi". You may not get to meet Dr Smith as she will probably be in class but I will be at the booth to give out information and to meet you.. It is always nice to put a face with a voice and as you know I do most of my work via the telephone and email. Stop by to pick up a brochure or for a chat. I look forward to meeting you.

Hi All
I imagine by now most of you are planning your vacation time deciding where to go and what to do. Any suggestions for weekend trips? I am always looking for short trips to do on a long weekend. Nothing like getting out of my routine and into vacation mode to make me feel good. I recently went to NY, Charleston, Savannah, Washington DC and am looking to do another long weekend trip. If you have any favorite spots or things to do please let me know.
Thanks as always.
